The project is carried out in partnership with PACNE, Tesla, The National Agency for Microcredit and the Department of Agriculture , University of Naples "Federico II"

PACNE (Action contre la Pauvreté du Nord Est)

is a Haitian NGO, AFNonlus'partner since 2010. PACNE will be responsible for coordinating all the project activities starting with the introduction of the solar cooker's into schools, teacher training and the organization of the trainers' committees. PACNE will also monitor and evaluate the project.


will be in charge of the research and design of the solar cooker, making a model. It will test the materials, study the dimensions and the technologies for manual handling; design construction and supervise the building of a perfect example.

The National Agency for Microcredit

will provide its know-how to set up social micro-credit programs to encourage economic initiatives amongst the most disadvantaged people contributing to the creation and dissemination of entrepreneurship in the fight against poverty.

The Department of Agriculture of the University of Naples "Federico II"

will assist AFNonlus in the study and implementation of new technologies, materials and technological processes related, directly or indirectly, to food. It will create innovative and highly efficient devices or components by using renewable energy that will allow the beginning of transformation processes i.e. preparation, storage and cooking; related directly or indirectly to food and agriculture.
